EUROVAST accelerates on the market

Three-year plan to grow volumes by about 25%

LUCCA – Over thirty years of history, it has consolidated its position in the market through a prudent but ambitious development model and an increasingly marked international projection. EuroVast Spa, a major Lucca-based tissue company led by the Romano family, is taking the lead and aiming to consolidate its leadership in Italy and abroad with a robust new business plan. The goal of governance –led by President Vincenzo Romano and CEO – Umberto Romano – is clear: to take advantage of the best opportunities in the market over the next three years to achieve an increase in production capacity of approximately 25%. As the CEO declares: «It will be a vertical growth that will strengthen an already solid network through investments in the national and foreign territory». Today the group — with five paper mills and six strategic processing plants, including the foreign hubs of Oss (Holland) and Liverpool (UK) — is averaging 150 thousand tonnes of paper per year, with a turnover growth of 27% and a volume increase of 25% over the last 5 years. The real challenge won by EuroVast, however, remains the perfect balance between maximizing quality and minimizing the ecological footprint. For the Tuscan player, sustainability is not a simple slogan but a concrete competitive asset, spread across three inseparable dimensions: environmental, economic, and social. It is precisely on the social front that the company has built its true bastion over the years. The group’s growth is based on a strong territorial identity, expressed through the acquisition and relaunch of local production centres which, thanks to the investments of the Romano family, has been able to transform corporate crises into new production success stories. Today, the Eurovast Group is ready for this new challenge that redraws the very future of the sector. With this new industrial plan, EuroVast demonstrates that international expansion and increased production capacity are not isolated milestones, but the natural stages of a responsibility-driven path. Looking ahead to the next three years means for the Lucca-based group combining the solidity of a thirty-year tradition with the agility of a global player, ready to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving market. EuroVast’s growth in value is thus confirmed: a forward-looking strategy capable of safeguarding the territory and charting the course for an increasingly strong, competitive and sustainable tissue industry.

Our quality

The opening of new factories, the acquisition of important Italian and foreign customers, and significant technical and organizational interventions have created the conditions for the industrial and commercial strengthening of the EuroVast SpA Group, one of Italy’s leading companies in the tissue sector. Size growth, however, is only part of the work we are carrying out. «Our investment in the future, in fact, increasingly depends on a specific idea of sustainable development. For 2027 we have closed an agreement under which 50% of our paper mills will be powered by biogas from agriculture. We thus choose an energy that valorises agricultural by-products and residues, transforming waste into a precious resource according to the principles of the circular economy».

EuroVast SpA works to integrate sustainability into its value creation process; to develop a lasting competitive advantage and ensure positive economic and social and environmental benefits for the communities in which it operates; and to contribute to a responsible economy, a better society, and the environment. Constantly investing in new paper mill technologies and converting has allowed us to offer products that respect the environment by creating shared value for all stakeholders in the production chain, making us sustainable.
